What’s been happening:

A particularly beautiful winter morning - blue sky and a foot of newly fallen snow set the stage for my 8 am speech class where I was planning to give a demonstration speech on fondue. Could my choice of topic have had something to do with the weather? At 6 am I made chocolate fondue in the kitchen of my sorority's suite and then carried it through the snow to our classroom in the farthest possible corner of campus. It was so very cold - I can still hear the crunch of the snow beneath my feet as I precariously negotiated my way. I gave my demonstration speech and illustrated how to fondue by dipping pieces of angel food cake and fresh fruits into the warm, melted chocolate. My classmates, the prof. and I "practiced" dipping and enjoyed tasting - perhaps more so because of the extremely cold weather outside. Now whenever I prepare or enjoy fondue, I vividly remember the fun we had that beautiful morning at Penn State.
